Pray:

Father,

Grant me on this day

Perspective—

To see that my days are so brief.

For with such

Perspective,

I learn both to not fear the darkness—

Which is passing,

Or to place too much security

On my attainments—

Which are small.

But instead, Father,

I find meaning most truly

In only the eternal things,

That exist in your

Eternal love.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen
